We are fortunate to have a very active Parents’ Association which promotes the welfare of and general interest in the school. The enthusiasm and activities of the PA foster links between home and school, thereby strengthening pupil/school/parent co-operation.
The committee is elected at the association’s annual general meeting each year. The association plays a vital role in the life of the school in a number of ways. Its financial support through regular fund-raising has resulted in continued improvement of the resources and facilities at our school, thereby enhancing the quality of education which the children receive. The PA is actively involved with special projects such as the school playground development, the annual school fun run, and school concerts and sports activities.
The association arranges social events such as tea and coffee at various school events as well as evening meetings to which guests are invited to speak on subjects of particular interest to parents and teachers, such as Cyber Bullying and Helping with Homework.
All parents are encouraged to take an active part in the Parents’ Association and to support the wide range of activities and events arranged throughout the school year.
